FRS Fencing were proud to sponsor the FRS Fencing Handicap Hurdle at this year’s Punchestown Festival on Friday, 1st May, an unforgettable evening that delivered excitement right to the finish line.
The race proved to be one of the most dramatic finishes of the day, with Avalo narrowly edging out Pioneer Pete in a thrilling photo finish after an intense battle up the home straight. The result wasn’t immediately confirmed, creating huge anticipation around the parade ring before Avalo was officially announced as the winner, sparking fantastic celebrations among the owners, trainers, and connections.
Run over 2 miles and 45 yards on yielding ground, the race attracted a competitive field of 24 runners and showcased the excitement and atmosphere that make Punchestown one of the highlights of the Irish racing calendar.
For FRS Fencing, sponsoring the race was a fantastic opportunity to support an industry that values quality, professionalism, and attention to detail, principles that are central to the work we deliver every day across Ireland.
We would like to thank Punchestown Festival, everyone who attended, and all those involved in making the event such a success.
